The major finds include Acheulian and Middle Palaeolithic stone-tool industries, with artefacts such as handaxes, cleavers, cores, flakes, scrapers, side-scrapers, borers, points and Levallois flakes. Diagnostic faunal remains are not established, and no securely associated hominin fossils have been identified. The hominin species responsible is therefore not established. The Luni Basin is significant because it preserves evidence of Palaeolithic human activity in the arid landscape of western Rajasthan and the Thar Desert region.
